With its S$4 million refurbishment, the iconic Shang Palace will showcase Cantonese cuisine, provincial specialties and Chinese tea culture in a new modern contemporary design, characterised by rich Chinese heritage.
As its name implies, Shang Palace advocates “the fragrance of Chinese culture.“ Its cuisine service style and tea culture are distinctively Chinese, yet relevant to modern appreciation. With Master Chef Peter Tsang heading the culinary team, patrons can expect to savour delightful re-invented classics as well as new dishes that are an innovative interpretation of Chinese cuisine.
Shang Palace’s interior décor features floral motifs on the red glass ceiling and walls hand-painted by Chinese artisans while the surrounding 15 acres of lush greenery serves as a backdrop for the restaurant’s “dining in a Chinese garden“ theme.
Peter Tsand will present a seven-course olfactory journey highlighting cuisine from key Chinese regions. In his feature activity, diners will be guided through the changing aromas of the different cuisines.
