Workshops conducted by the visiting chefs of the World Gourmet Summit. They will usually prepare two to three of their signature dishes during the workshop. This is followed by an opportunity to sample their cuisine.  

A week-long lunch and / or dinner promotion created by the visiting chefs and their respective hosting chefs in the restaurant establishments. Some hotels will even extend the promotion for three months, ending on 30 June.

A one-off event presented by the partner restaurants within the World Gourmet Summit to showcase a specialty skill or feature of the chef or restaurant. Some notable activities organised included the Inverted Menu by Garibaldi Italian Restaurant and a French breakfast by Au Petit Salut.

The hats ranking is an annual award conferred by The Sydney Morning Herald’s Good Food Guide. It recognises the finest eateries in Australia by awarding them one to three hats with the latter being the highest accolade.

Local hotels/restaurants that play host to the international masterchefs attached to them for the period of the Summit.

A chef with 3 Michelin-stars or an equivalent ranking.

A dinner prepared by the Iconic Chef featuring their signature cuisine.

International chefs who are highly decorated and well-known in the culinary field. They are put up at different hosting establishments where they will create a week-long promotion termed as the Epicurean Delights and conduct a masterclass of their signature dishes.

Ratings provided by the Michelin Guide that is to date the most credible and influential culinary ratings for restaurants around the world. 

Chefs in the local restaurants that are participating in the Summit.

Local restaurants establishments that can be independent or within a hotel that are participating in the Summit.

One-off events where diners are transported to three special locations to enjoy a six-course dinner prepared by guest chefs and the venue host.

A wine dinner featuring wines from the winemakers paired with cuisines by selected masterchefs.

Tasting of at about four decades of the wineries’ best vintages. The winemaker along with WGS Wine Consultant Dr N K Yong will host the session.
