Selection
and Evaluation Process With
a stringent selection process and a panel of
judges that consist of the most distinguished
industry leaders and recognized gourmets and
aficionados, WGS Awards of Excellence recognizes
the spectrum of talents who have achieved a
distinct reputation for providing world-class
hospitality products and services.
The
selection and evaluation process is as follows:
First
Round
(1/11/00 8/12/00)
Nomination forms are released to 250 selected
jury members to nominate for the various
awards.
Evaluation
(9/12/00 26/12/00)
Nominations are collected and tabulated
Five highest-ranking nominees (by number
of nominations) for each award are established.The
top five nominees of each award will then
proceed to the next round of assessment.
Second
Round
(2/1/01 31/1/01)
Second round nomination forms containing
the top nominees in each award are released
to 100 selected jury members.
Evaluation
(1/2/01 15/2/01)
Nominations are collected and tabulated
Three
highest-ranking nominees (by number of
nominations) for each award are established.These
top three nominees of each award will
then proceed to the next round of assessment
Press
Conference
(28/2/01)
The top three nominees are announced as
finalists.
Final
Round
(2/3/01 23/3/01)
These finalists will be assessed again
by a panel of jurors to select the winner.
Votes are submitted directly to an independent
auditor for verification and tabulation.
Evaluation
(24/3/01 6/4/01)
Auditors verify the scores.
Results
will be announced during the Awards Presentation
