Introduction
The
World Gourmet Club aims to facilitate and promote
the international exchange of culinary expertise
and collaboration between chefs as well as to
establish and cultivate relations with gourmets
in the field of high quality cuisine. The WGC
acts as the umbrella organization for all top-level
gourmet events throughout the world.
WGC is a brand identity that is quality driven
and gives new meaning to the world of gourmet
tourism, with strategic alliances in the making.
The strategy of the WGC is divided into four different
areas: Festivals,
Products, Gastronomy and Tourism.
All Club Members, including sponsors, festival
representatives, are constantly kept up-to-date
with the latest, relevant information relating
to gourmet tourism. |

Objectives
WGC has embedded the following concepts into
its making:

The development of international know-how
in the areas of the culinary arts

The advancement of the international exchange
of leading chefs and restaurants

built up maintenance of those that support
and encourage advancement in the culinary
arts

of first class culinary events on each continent
- Develop
alliances with other clubs and organizations

trips to culinary events

Festivals
The WGC supports one Partner festival and two
to four smaller Affiliated Festivals on each
continent each year. The famous World
Gourmet Summit in Singapore is the Asian
Partner Festival of the WGC. Other Partner Festivals
are the famed Gourmet Festival St. Moritz (for
Europe), Aspen (for North America), Buenos Aires
(for South America), Cape Town (for Africa)
and Sydney (for Australia). The first Affiliated
Festivals took place in Europe in Sylt and Berlin.
