Michelangelo's Italian Restaurant was conceptualised in 1985. As the culinary director, Sanelli oversees almost every aspect of the kitchen operations, menu design and staffing of the Michelangelo's Restaurant Group. He works closely with each partner and executive chef on a daily basis ensuring that the guest remains at the forefront of every culinary decision made. Sanelli's artistic cuisine won him one of his greatest honors as Wine & Dine magazine "Restaurateur of the Year Award" for 1998 and 1999. Sanelli's menu balances traditional Italian cuisine and Asian spices to create a provocative array of selections. Chef Lino Sauro is the new resident Chef of DOMVS, the Italian restaurant at Sheraton Towers Singapore. Born in Sicily, South of Italy, Lino has 16 years of culinary experience that took him all around Italy, Switzerland and Germany. His last posting was as Head Chef at the fine dining "Capannina" restaurant at the 4-star Hotel & Resort Du Lac et du Park, located in the famous resort area for the rich and famous, the Riva del Garda in Italy. This being his first ever posting in Asia, the 36-year-old Lino is no doubt excited about showcasing his culinary talent to the discerning diners in Singapore. |

The Heinz Asian Ethnic Chef of the Year 2005, Milind Sovani, has garnered other accolades such as gold medal winner at the 'Gourmet Hunt 2004' and, silver and bronze medal winner at the 'Gourmet Hunt 2003'. Hailing from the west coast of India, Sovani is known to be one of India's rising culinary talents. Back at his native land, he has already acquired celebrity status, having written columns in popular females' magazines and appeared on local and international television cooking shows. His forte is Malwani cuisine, and he is largely credited for bringing this kind of cooking to the fore, utilising his experience and standing at various five-star hotel chains in Delhi and Mumbai. |

Managing Director of Esmirada, Wolfgang Lapper who is from Innsbruck in Austria, says that his philosophy is to offer fresh, good-quality food and present it in a unique way. Lapper has designed unique skewer stands that are used for serving grilled meats, the best-selling items in the menu. Esmirada, which started in Peranakan Place and moved to the Orchard Hotel Singapore almost four years ago, exudes a friendly, casual and fun atmosphere with a menu that consists of a wide selection of well-known Mediterranean dishes. |
