Domaine du Pégaü, estate bottler of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, is recognised as one of the top estates in Châteauneuf where its wines are considered the global leaders of the wine industry. Domaine du Pégaü began in the late 17th century with farming a few small field of vines bordered with olive and cherry trees. The revenue from the cherries sold in the local provençal markets covered the costs of working the vineyards. The olives and golden oil were for family consumption, whilst the grapes went into producing the already famous red wine of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Today, Laurence Féraud and her father, Paul Féraud, continue to ensure the success of Domaine du Pégaü.
