Fourth-generation vintage maker Dr. Katharina Prüm is the great-grand daughter of the estate’s founder Weingut Joh. Jos. Prüm. After completing her doctorate in German civil law, 31-year-old Dr. Katharina devoted her energy and time to the estate as ambassador and joint vintage maker. Together with her father, Dr Manfred Prüm, they concentrate solely on cultivating Riesling renowned for their ageing potential which are sought after by collectors. Dr. Katharina is the oldest of Dr Manfred’s three daughters and has been running the family-owned château since 2003.
