By 1982 Gordon Gebbie had completed degrees in Agricultural Science at Melbourne University and oenology at Roseworthy Agricultural College in South Australia. Since this time Gebbie has worked within the wine industry, his experience ranging from viticulture and winemaking to marketing and management. For the last decade or so he has been working for the Rathbone family as commercial manager of Yering Station during when they acquired three further wineries in Australia - Mount Langi Ghiran in 2002, Parker Coonawarra Estate in 2004 and Xanadu Wines in 2005, forming the Rathbone Wine Group. Gordon is currently commercial director of the Rathbone Wine Group and is also a member of the Market Development Advisory Committee for the Australian Wine & Brandy Corporation.
