Chung Lap Fai joined Orchard Hotel Singapore in 1997 as an Assistant Chef. His passion and hard work saw him climbing up the ranks. Chef Fai now heads the kitchen at Hua Ting in Orchard Hotel today. His specialty dishes are mainly Cantonese dishes such as Shark’s Fin Soup and seafood dishes.
His love for food helped to ignite his interest to become a chef at the age of 17. Chef Fai arrived in Singapore in 1991 and worked in several other organisations before joining Orchard Hotel. Chef Fai finds it rewarding when he sees regular customers returning for his dishes and all the hard work he has put in is worth the while.
