Otto Weibel is considered one of the ’guards’ of the local culinary scene. Highly respected in Singapore and around the region, Weibel has been with Swissôtel The Stamford for more than 20 years. Much to the hotel’s culinary success today is credited to him. As a result, he was awarded the prestigious World Gourmet Summit’s Awards of Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001 as recognition for his extraordinary contributions.
As a senior figure among chefs, Weibel lends his experience to the community by acting as president mentor to the Singapore Chefs’ Association and as advisor to the Singapore Culinary National Team. He continues to share his chef ’s secrets to anyone who has the heart and passion for cooking.
