Delhi-born Indian chef, Gurpreet Singh Gehdu is a true globe-trotter. His career has taken him from Delhi to London, Dubai to US, and now he is back on Indian shores having taken up the responsibility as Corporate Chef at Punjab Grill – Gourmet Fine Dining. Chef Gurpreet is currently putting all his creative flair preparing best of the culinary delights after an impressive international and local career, after working at some of the high profile restaurants across the globe in the recent past. At 35, Chef Gurpreet has professionally achieved what very few do this early in life.

With a strong background in the field of Food & Beverage Production and an education in Hospitality to back it up, he is the quintessential culinary personality who commenced his professional journey at the age of 19 years from thebottom of the ladder, assisting some of the well-known chefs in Delhi. Chef Gurpreet brings a wealth of experience and talent to the kitchen. His passion for contemporary Indian gastronomy coupled with his Sikh background and honed modern techniques, paves the way for a sophisticated and innovative dining experience.

In the recent past, with Punjab Grill he has taken his love for Indian cuisine to new heights by utilising his experience and evolving his skills to further develop Indian cuisine with its modern Interpretation and a keen focus on molecular gastronomy. Over the past year, he has helped engineer some of the unique flavours that Punjab Grill has come to be known for. The combination of his modern training and the influence of his traditional upbringing shaped his distinct palate bringing together an imaginative spin on the extraordinary dishes he creates. He is highly influenced by his extensive travel and is inspired by people, places and foods from all over the world.

Chef Gurpreet interprets Indian Cuisine in a ‘Modern’ way, applying a superb sense of style and craftsmanship to food. With a string of accolades to his name and a wealth of experience, this innovative young chef’s passion for cuisineis eclectic, skilled and unpretentious.
