Born in Coventry, England, Chef Ian Curley had his education in Catering Studies with Hendley College before embarking on his chef training in London. Having trained in England for several years, Chef Curley has since moved to Australia in 1988, with his love for challenge. Chef Curley might have left The Point, Albert Park, but he has gone on to undertake a bigger task as executive chef at the European group of restaurants. Coupled with that, Chef Curley has gained more knowledge of wines as a sommelier and will be the person to look for in pairing dishes with wines. Like the dishes that he is bringing to World Gourmet Summit. The highly sought after and award winning chef does not hamper on those, but rather, he is a passionate supporter of many charities, even in the reality TV show, Conviction Kitchen, where he will be mentoring ex-convicts in learning a new skill.
