Born in Barcelona, where most of Bodegas Torres vineyards are, Sergi Freixa graduated with an international marketing degree from the Queen’s University of Belfast and soon began his career in a publicity firm. He then worked for Bodegas Torres as an area manager for almost two years, taking care of the Jean Leon winery and Torres wines for the Middle East. To garner a wider range of knowledge, Sergi decided to move towards industrial companies; firstly as an area manager for South America and finally to being an export manager with business interest in Middle East and South East Asian markets. Sergi’s passion for wine made him return to Bodegas Torres and is currently in command of the South East Asian markets as well as Mediterranean countries – Africa and the Caribbean.
