Bart Araujo took advantage of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity when the Eisele Vineyard, one of the most respected Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards in Napa Valley, became available in 1990. Determined to maintain and enhance the reputation of this icon that has bearing fruit for over 120 years, the Araujos renovated the property and constructed a winery to vinify the Eisele Vineyard grapes. Today, Araujo Estate wines produces limited quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc that consistently rank among the best and most distinctive in Napa Valley. According to the Araujos, they see themselves not only as owners but as guardians of the unique and precious resource that is Eisele Vineyard. Their commitment to the land is not their only focus; they are community leaders supporting healthcare and education.
