Team BIO
The Team is made up of inspired young chefs around Singapore from various culinary school, hotels and restaurant. To a line with Singapore Government Skill Future Plan, the Team is supported by e2i (Employment & Employability Institute). As part of the skill learning, the Team also went on a understudy trip with the Singapore National Culinary Team to IKA Culinary Olympic. The trip had given the team chance to learn from the national team on preparation and logistic arrangement for oversea competition.  The Team would like to bring creative yet back to basic dishes, using the natural colour of the ingredients and bring some interesting and tasty element onto the cold buffet table.

Team Member Profile
Team Manager – Elvin Chew
Chef Elvin Chew graduated from Shatec, currently the Honorary President Mentor of Singapore junior Chefs Club and Singapore Chefs Association Committee Member In charge of Special Project. Having participated in numerous competitions, he is no stranger to accolades. Among them includes Overall Champion at the Thailand International Culinary Cup and Overall Champion at the Singapore Chef’s Association Nestle Professional Junior Chef of the year. Elvin believes that Singapore has the potential to position itself as a world-class gourmet hub and is dedicated to develop the next generation of talented young chefs.

Team Captain – Sherine Lim (In Charge of 4 Seafood & Meat Platter)
Chef Sherine Lim, graduated from ITE, Diploma in Culinary Arts with Restaurant Management liaise with Institute Paul Bocuse. Currently I am working in Singapore Polytechnic as a Junior Food Technologist. Sherine is the winner of the 1st Singapore Top Young Chef, and also the Singapore National Team Assistant for 2016 FHA Gourmet Team Challenge. She also took part in the individual category, Neptune Catch for 2016 FHA where she got a bronze medal award.

Team Member – Loh Zhen Hao (In Charge of 3 Cold Appetizers)
Chef Loh Zhen Hao, currently a leading cook in Marina Mandarin Singapore and graduated from Shatec. In 2016, He was given an opportunity to participate in FHA (Food Hotel Asia) Cold Display 6 Appetizers, where he was award a gold medal.

Team Member – Ong Jing Qin (In Charge of 6 Cold Tapas)
Chef Ong Jing Qin just graduated from The Culinary Institute of America and before getting her degree, she studied in Republic Polytechnic (Diploma in Restaurant and Culinary Operations).  She had done my externship in New York, Untitled at The Whitney. Singapore. Jing Qin currently holding the position of the President of the Singapore Junior Chefs Club She had participated in Food & Hotel Asia, International Young Chefs Challenge and Philippine Culinary Cup where she won the overall champion beating other 60 young chefs team at the same category. 

Team Member – Mathew Tham (In Charge of Cold Soup & 4 Salads) 
Chef Mathew Tham, currently still studies at At-Sunrice, in his final term. He also an intern at Level33 restaurant, through my school and internship He have learned valuable skills and knowledge that has benefitted him immensely. He believes in hard work and that hard work will always pay off.

Team Pastry – Goh Boon Xian (In Charge of 4 Modern Cake & 4 Desserts)
Chef Goh Boon Xian, graduated from Malaysia institute of baking for my Diploma in baking. He had done his internship in Grand millennium Malaysia. He started his competitions in 2013 with his first competition being California Raisins. Subsequently he participated in Food & Hotel Asia and International Young Chefs Challenge.
