Helio Goncalves
He is a young, tall and handsome man who melts the hearts of women when he smiles and expresses his love for food. Helio Goncalves who grew up in the heart of Portugal, began working his way through restaurants bussing tables, talking to people and preparing food in the kitchen before attending the Professional School of Hotel Services and Tourism of Lisbon, where he was invited to take exams to the Junior Kitchen National Selection. Through his determination and keen interest in culinary skills, he became Chef de partie in Belcanto, recognised as the 91st place by San Pellegrino and a Two-Star Michelin restaurant in Lisboa-Chiado.

Today, he is the Head Chef of BOCA, a homely and traditional restaurant in Singapore that brings you nothing but heart-warming Authentic Portuguese Cuisine. In his journey with BOCA, he was named “Young Chef” by Epicure Asian Magazine, and together with the BOCA family the title of Singapore`s Best Restaurant of 2016 by Singapore Tatler Magazine and was a Finalist in San Pellegrino`s Best New Restaurant in Singapore.
