Bottega is a family owned company located in Bibano, Treviso (45 km north of Venice) that produces and distributes typical Italian premium quality beverages and food products to a global market. Bottega is a third-generation business and today it is led by Barbara, Sandro, and Stefano Bottega.
 
The company's headquarters are located in a 19th century farmhouse, renovated to preserve the original architectural and environmental characteristics and surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards. The group also manages a winery in Valpolicella and one in Montalcino; here, the great red wines of the Veneto and Tuscany, including Amarone and Brunello, are produced.
 
The company manages several different brands, amongst which are Alexander, Bottega and Cellini. Producing and distributing Italian wine, grappa, spirits and food in over 110 countries around the world, Bottega advocates Quality (Italian taste and authenticity), Design (expression of the excellent aesthetic character of Made in Italy) and Social Responsibility towards the environment and the community.
 
The original idea of Bottega Gold, the iconic Prosecco in a gilded bottle, dates back to 2000, when Sandro Bottega – owner of the Italian winery and distillery - created an eye-catching packaging for its premium quality Prosecco. The fulfilment of the “accessible luxury” concept was key to this product’s worldwide success, but at the same time the shiny bottle led some to believe that it was an attempt to divert from the content’s actual quality.
 
Yet, recently Bottega Gold was acknowledged with two prestigious international prizes, further proving the value of the wine contained in the bottle:
 
First, Bottega Gold was awarded with the title of “Prosecco Masters” at the 2nd annual Prosecco Masters Competition, organised by the British magazine “The Drinks Business”. From eighty-six entries, judged by a selection of highly experienced tasters, only two Proseccos were awarded this prestigious level. Second, the British magazine “Decanter” awarded Bottega Gold with the “Silver Medal” at the latest edition of “Decanter World Wine Awards”, one of the world’s largest and most influential wine competition, led by the world’s wine experts.
