Like any self-respecting Chinese chef, Chef Yong Bing Ngen worked his way up from the lowest ranks of the kitchen brigade. He worked his way up via a series of strategic positions in restaurants and hotels across South East Asia, particularly in Singapore. Along the way, the earnest chef mastered important skills, such as managing a kitchen, creating menu concepts and most importantly running a business, which helped him in shaping his career as a well-rounded restaurateur. 2006 marked his first successful joint venture with the owner of New Majestic Hotel and following not long after, JING was born. He is a risk-taker who follows his dreams and goals and it is because of this sheer tenacity that led him to where he is today.
