A Gastronomical Journey Through India
An Escoffier Dinner by Le Cordon Bleu

A Gastronomical Journey Through India

An evening of indulgence was unveiled as chef Milind Sovani brought guests through a journey of the palate through ten regions in India during an exotic ten-course dinner. From Bengal to Lucknow to Tamilnadu, Punjab, Kashmir and other regions of India, guests tasted a fine spread of excellently crafted dishes. Dancing to the tune of The Song of India were six Kathak dancers specially invited from Mumbai to heighten the dining experience. The exactness and gracefulness of their strokes paralleled the precision by which chef Sovani delivered each course, proving himself to be a master of taste for Indian cuisine. An Escoffier Dinner by Le Cordon Bleu

A fascinating insight into famed French chef Auguste Escoffier’s life and inspirations outlined the programme for the night, and guests were transported back in time as a few of Escoffier’s famous dishes were resurrected. Paired with delectable wines courtesy of Top Wines, the dinner was an exquisite affair of turquoise mood lighting and crystal candle-holders, made complete by the delightful seven-course menu prepared by Le Cordon Bleu chefs Phillipe Clergue, Yannick Anton and Christian Faure. It was indeed a memorable evening of gastronomy and history. For more pictures, please click here!
