Kyrö Distillery Company is an indie distillery hailing from Isokyrö, Finland. We make all of our spirits out of 100% wholegrain rye and appropriately we adopted “In rye we trust” as our company motto. The idea for a distillery, not unlike many a Finnish person, was conceived in a sauna when the founders met over some rye whisky. They started wondering why Finland, a country that makes everything out of rye, doesn’t produce any rye whisky. After two years of building and bureaucracy a whisky distillery was born. While waiting for the rye whisky to mature we started making rye gin as well. In 2015 our Napue gin won “the best gin for a gin & tonic” -award in the International Wine and Spirit Competition. We are bold people who enjoy things we like the way we like. Coming from the arctic we know having good company in not only nice; it’s a necessity.
