the World Gourmet Summit Awards of Excellence 2001, star chef
Sam Leong reveals his best at ASIAN
by breaking out of the classical style that Chinese cuisine often
portrays. Under his skillful direction and creativity, ASIAN has
quickly become one of the best foodie havens and the most-hyped
restaurant in town.
Leong has
definitely made a name with Chinese cuisine and has appeared in
promotions in the United States with Wolfgang Puck. He was also
invited as guest chef at the famed James Beard Foundation Dinner
in 2000. Prior to joining Tung Lok Group, Leong was part of the
opening team responsible for the overall Chinese food operations
of Four Seasons Singapore. He also represented Singapore at this
year's St. Moritz Gourmet Festival.
