Jean-Yves
Meraud
A native
of Brittany in western France, Jean-Yves Meraud grew up in the
family's hotel business, giving him an in-depth knowledge of the
profession. His tenure and experience in various prominent establishments
throughout the world has influenced and shaped his style, resulting
in light and expressive culinary creations that has become his
distinctive trademark. Meraud has a wealth of experience, having
been an executive chef at more than five world-class establishments
across Hong Kong, Australia, France and China.
With a list
of impressive accolades under his belt, which also includes having
participated in British Airways ' The Great Chefs of the World'
promotion in 1983, being conferred a Diploma and Commendation
from the International Food & Wine Society and achieving three
gold medals in the International Salon Culinaire in Sydney 1988,
Meraud has redefined the food & beverage concept in Grand
Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore.
Meraud's talents
extend beyond his kitchens. An accomplished artist, his passion
for oil painting is exemplified in his many creative and exquisite
art pieces. Undoubtedly, this creativity finds further expression
in his cooking and presentation. He gains further inspiration
from his annual treks to the majestic peaks of Nepal.
