Angela May has the soul of a child from the global village. Being brought up by an American Father and a Thai Mother, her childhood exposed her to both Thai and Western cuisine which defines her culinary style today. Living a nomadic lifestyle due to her early career in entertainment, Angela has lived in Singapore, Manila, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Sydney and after a short return to New York, she finally settled back in Singapore with an insatiable appetite and a ridiculously fat culinary passport.
Angela grew roots once again figuratively and literally by fostering a close relationship with farmers in Singapore and so began the process of opening Food Chapters. The concept sources locally farmed herbs, vegetables and fish as much as possible to support the growing industry and be a part of the movement to live mindfully and sustainably.
Angela is no stranger to most. If she is not in the kitchen cooking up a storm, she is found in beauty magazines, hosting events for luxury brands, presenting travel & cooking tv shows globally and being the voice for the prestigious gastronomic competition 'Bocuse d’Or' and 'Coupe du Monde de la Patisserie’ for the past 10 years.
