Ross Lusted is Chef/Owner of The Bridge Room, one of Sydney’s most beloved dining establishments and awarded the coveted Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide’s Restaurant of the Year 2016 and Hottest Restaurant in Australia by The Australian.
A chef by profession, Ross Lusted has worked extensively in restaurants and hotels over the past twenty years including the award winning restaurants Darley Street Thai (Sydney), Rockpool (Sydney), harbourkitchen&bar (Sydney), Mezza9 (Singapore) and Amankila resort (Bali).
Ross was the Rockpool consultant for the Qantas First Class Food Project including worldwide implementation and auditing for London, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, Bangkok, Singapore, Melbourne and Sydney. Additionally he worked on the value added product development for Rockpool. Later Ross became Culinary Advisor for Hyatt International Hotels and Resorts in Australia Pacific.
Ross joined Amanresorts as General Manager of Amankila and was later promoted to Food and Beverage Development Manager where he was responsible for all Food and Beverage concepts and developments for new Aman projects. He was involved in kitchen design, architectural specifications, selection of operating equipment, collateral design and table top selection, styling and presentations for each new resort.
Ross was involved in each new Amanresorts opening during his tenure for properties throughout Europe, Asia, the United States, and the Caribbean.
Ross’s most recent role before returning to Australia to open his award winning restaurant The Bridge Room, was as General Manager of Amangiri, in Canyon Point, Utah which opened to international acclaim in October 2009. Amangiri was awarded BEST RETREAT by Wallpaper Magazine.
