Albert Au Kwok Keung

As the world’s youngest Michelin three-star Chinese chef, Chef Albert Au started his culinary career at the age of 14 and has always been passionate about the art of fine Chinese cuisine. Chef Au’s team works on the principles of classical Chinese cooking techniques, applying them to creative interpretations of traditional dishes. Throughout his career, Chef Au has worked in a variety of well-known restaurants in China, Hong Kong and Macau.

In 2007, he was invited to the famous state banquet at the historic Beijing Hotel, serving dishes to former heads of state such as Mr. Hu Jintao, Mr. Wen Jiabao and Mr. Li Peng. This defining moment and milestone in his career encouraged him to seek new heights of excellence, leading his way to being one of the top chefs in town.

In 2009, Chef Au returned to Hong Kong and took up the position of Executive Chef at Island Tang of Lai Sun Group which was named as Hong Kong’s "celebrity canteen". During his tenure, he specialised in the use of high-quality ingredients sourced from around the world. With his continuous passion and efforts on Chinese culinary art, Chef Au won Michelin One Star for three consecutive years from 2010 to 2012.

In 2013-2014, Chef Au garnered three Michelin stars for The Eight in Macau, making him the World’s youngest three Michelin starred Chinese chef. He is now the Executive Chef for Hong Kong Lai Sun F&B Management Limited, responsible for managing the luxury Chinese restaurants for the group, i.e., China Tang, Island Tang, Chiu Tang, China Club and Tang2.
