Protégés of Gaston Acurio
Alan Larrea Rivas, Elizabeth Torres Sinche, Roy Proleon Tangoa and Laura Villalta Riega are students from Fundacion Pachacutec, founded by Peruvian chef, Gastón Acurio in 2007.

Chef Acurio is widely acknowledged as one of the most important ambassodors of Peruvian gastronomy in the world and his personal support of the project has elevated it to levels of gastronomic excellence which most culinary schools and social projects can only dream of. His considerable standing in the culinary world has helped him secure some serious star power to educate the students as guest instructors. The school counts Ferran Adria and Andoni Luis Aduriz as some of their esteemed guest instructors.

Chef Daniel Chavez from OLD Cocina del Mar, another guest instuctor, was provided the opportunity to contribute back to the industry which had given so much to him. He had mentored these students by honing their individual talents. The opportunity to bring these 4 students to Asia is a first for all of them and it will definitely be an eye opener and a great learning experience for all of them.

Graduates can now be found in many of the top-ranked restaurants in the world, with many expected to become culinary powerhouses in their own right, in years to come.
