Château Pichon Lalande
Bordeaux, France
Vintner:Gildas d’Ollone
Hosted at: The Oriental Singapore

The complexity in the personality of the wines produced by Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande can be partly attributed to its rich history since 1689. Originating from one of the greatest Bordeaux vineyards, the wines it produces today are known to have an excellent structure, elegance and longevity. Pichon Lalande was also categorised as Second Cru Classé during the classing carried out under Napoleon III in 1855, recognition of its consistency in producing wines of a high quality.

From the rich, classical, long-tasting wines in the 70s to the pleasant, fruity and supple wines benefiting from an Indian summer in the 80s, the winery has since produced a great variety of vintages, made possible by its ideal combination of soil and climate. The key in its success lies in the stringent checks on the grape harvest to the preparation of selective cuvees.
