They were treated as separated entities until his sons Jacques and Christian decided to unite them as single vineyard, thereafter known as Château L’Angélus. A further three hectares belonging to Beauséjour-Bécot was absorbed in 1969, making a total of 23.4 hectares.

In 1999, the ‘L’ was dropped from the title thus, resulting in the famed Château Angélus today.
