Viewers of Discovery Travel & Living Channel will definitely know who Bobby Chinn is. His fans were thrilled at the World Gourmet Summit’s ‘An Evening with Bobby Chinn’ where the celebrity chef not only interacted with the guests but also specially prepared the menu for the night.

Although his voice was a little hoarse, it did not take away any of Chinn’s humour and dynamism as he pranced around the stage narrating stories of his culinary adventures. It was their first time coming together for The Fab Four— chefs Gunther Hubrechsen (Les Amis), Galvin Lim, (Au Jardin), Leandro Panza (La Strada Ristorante) and Pang Kok Keong (Canelé Pâtisserie Chocolaterie), where they dished out an elaborate menu of fine French cuisine for guests at Au Jardin during the World Gourmet Summit Partner Restaurant celebration. In another first, three-Michelin-starred chef Heinz Winkler was part of the guest list at Au Jardin, having his first dinner in Singapore since his arrival for the World Gourmet Summit 2007. Each table neatly and beautifully decorated, the guests savoured dishes with fine wines that they had chosen themselves.

At the end of the meal, the four chefs went out of the kitchen to meet the guests where they were asked to autograph the menus, in movie-star style!
