Manfred
Roth is the driving force behind Conrad Centennial Singapore's
culinary vision. The former executive chef of Otaru Hilton took
over the reins of the hotel's culinary team and orchestrated a
series of initiatives such as The South-east Asian Food Festival,
a partnership with Conrad Cairo in his efforts to promote Asian
cuisine.
One
of Roth's mission is to establish and cultivate the Conrad Centennial
culinary staff as the industry innovators and leaders. One of
his notable projects includes the Culinary Apprenticeship Programme,
which offers proper stewarding professionals who are looking for
a career in the culinary ranks.
A
veteran in the industry, Roth's creative recipe combinations and
presentatives have garnered many awards including Salon Culinaire's
"Most Outstanding Chef" Award in Singapore, the Swiss
Culinary Cup's "Chef of the Year" in Switzerland and
the Swiss Chef Association's "Toque d'Or" in Switzerland.
