Four Times World Barbecue Champion
It has been over 30 years since Chef Ueli discovered his great passion for barbecuing. At 19 years old, Chef Ueli completed his training and qualified as a butcher with top grades. In 1987, he had obtained qualifications to be certified as a master butcher. In 1997, he entered the Swiss Barbecue Competition for the first time and was crowned champion. He was subsequently conferred the title of Swiss Barbeque Champion eight times, European Champion four times and World Champion four times. In 2015, he was voted Butcher of the Year in Switzerland by the Swiss Butcher Association.
He owns a small butchery which produces everything from scalded sausages to dry sausages and dried meat specialities based on tradtional craftsmanship. It is a step back to good old practices; quality before quantity. |
