Diego Jacquet
Diego Jacquet began his career in Buenos Aires in 1992, when he joined renowned Argentine Chef Francis Mallman`s restaurants as an apprentice.
In 1998, Diego joined the team of Casa Nicolasa in San Sebastian, Spain. He later took a position at the three Michelin star restaurant El Bulli of Chef Ferran Adria, now closed but considered several times as one of the best restaurants in the world. In 2001, he joined Aquavit, Marcus Samuelsson`s celebrated Scandinavian restaurant in New York City, where he formed part of the team that helped earn restaurants its glowing three-star reviews. His rapid success in both New York and Sweden was key to his arrival in the UK. In 2003, Diego was appointed Executive Chef of London`s boutique hotel The Trafalgar. In 2006, he joined the award-winning The Zetter Hotel and Restaurant where esteemed food critic Fay Maschler described him as a talented and distinguished young chef. In October 2010, he opened Casa Malevo in Connaught Village, Central London that was named one of the best restaurants in Great Britain by Tatler Magazine Food Guide 2011. Zoilo Restaurant & Bar (awarded two AA Rosettes) opened in Marylebone, Central London in 2012, and showcases genuine “Cocina Argentica.” Butcher & wine merchant Abasto opened its doors in 2014. |
