Dylan Ooi

Chef Dylan graduated from University of New South Wales, Sydney Australia with a Mechanical honors degree. The  very first industry that he has stepped into was the Semiconductor Industry. After climbing the corporate ladder for 10 years, he has managed to be the key leader in the New Product Development team as a Manager.

However, in the midst of building the dreams of the company he worked for, he always have his own dream of becoming an entrepreneur.

Finally, he made a big decision to burn the bridge by quitting his high paying job to pursue with his passion in gelato. He then started his own gelato business. During his first two years into his business, he spent most of his time on researching, attending courses and also learning from local chefs to prefect the craft. There were countless nights devoted to test and refine on his recipes as well as sharpen his knowledge about gelato making. His hard work finally materialised into "Ge!ato".

Today he owns 5 of Ge!ato outlets in Singapore and an ISO22000 controlled central kitchen. His business has expanded from the initial retail to even wholesale supply to 5 stars restaurants and hotels.With more than 10 years of experience in gelato business and recipe development, he has now started to share his knowledge with people with the same passion as him. He will continue to put smiles to many gelato fans. He hopes his company can continue to grow out from Singapore to serve the International demands of gelato!
