Mamma Giovanna was born in Genova, Italy, in 1938. She worked all her life as a ladies’ fashion seamstress, and is also a housewife and mother of two naughty boys.

Mamma Giovanna left the chaos of the capital city a few years ago, and now lives in a smaller city in the Liguria region. Her house boasts a gorgeous flowering garden that produces apples, lemons and many kilograms of mulberries from a fabulous mulberry tree every season. Throughout her area, she is famous for her special homemade jam, lovingly made for all her family and friends.

Till today, Mamma Giovanna has never opened a recipe book! Her delicious recipes have been passed from generation to generation, and each recreated dish holds its own unique flavor. Her specialty is a famous pesto sauce that she can make, even with closed eyes!

Mamma Giovanna loves to spend time in Singapore, she enjoys walking around this clean and tidy garden city with an endless summer.
