Opus One was born out of the partnership of Baron Philippe de Rothschild, proprietor of Château Mouton Rothschild and Robert Mondavi, prominent Napa Valley vintner. The successful partnership combined the knowledge and traditions of two renowned winemaking families to produce an exceptional Napa valley wine. From its first vinification in 1979, Opus One remains committed to producing wines of uncompromising quality, keeping alive the passion, vision and spirit of its founders.
