Castello di Ama, Siena, Italy
Nestled in the hills at the heart of the Chianti Classico region lays Castello di Ama. Beginning in 1972, the winery was born out of a companionship of four families who studied the Sangiovese grape intensely to determine the best possible vineyard plots. At an elevation of 500 metres, Castello di Ama currently produces around 300 to 350,000 bottles of wine annually, as well as olive oil from its groves. Producing its wines by rigourous selection of the grapes, Castello di Ama produces wines which are the true expression of Chianti Classico.
