KLM Royal Dutch Airlines - Official Airline
KLM

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is a pioneer in the world of civil aviation. Established in 1919, it is the longest operating scheduled airline still flying under its original name, with over 80 years of experience in providing quality airline service. KLM has been associated with a long history of being FIRST.

On May 5, 2004 marks the inception of Europe's leading airline group, the merger of KLM and AIR FRANCE. This unique merger created a joint network that now reaches an unprecedented number of destinations in every corner of the world. Between them and their partners, passengers have more than 500 destinations to choose from. To give even easier access to the network AIR FRANCE and KLM have decided that nearly all of their fares may be combined. This means that passengers may choose to fly with AIR FRANCE for example on the outbound leg of the journey and with KLM on the return leg, and both at the most attractive fares available.

AIR FRANCE and KLM carry over 65 million passengers per year. They operate more than 550 aircraft and offer 2,200 daily flights. Financial results for April - September 2005 were promising with operating profits up to 46.5% to 750 Million Euro.

KLM together with Northwest Airlines and Continental Airlines joined the Sky Team alliance in September 2004. Sky Team offers its 341 million annual passengers a worldwide system of more than 14,000 daily flights to all major destinations.
