Spanning the continents and crossing the seas, the World Gourmet Summit (WGS) is constantly in pursuit of the culinary wonders from around the world. With the vision of summoning worldwide epicurean masters for a celebration in gastronomy, World Gourmet Summit has become an annual affair on many foodies' calendar.

Sylvia Tan is a freelance food and travel writer for various publications such as The Sunday Times, The Business Times, Her World, Women's Weekly and Wine & Dine. Prior to her current position where she was a newspaper editor for various lifestyle, business and local news sections with established newspapers like Singapore Herald and The Straits Times, Sylvia is also a well-known food columnist. Her love for 'Singapore cuisine' has won her several accolades, including a special Singapore Press Holdings newspaper award for excellence in 1995 for her cooking column in "The Sunday Times, Mad about Food".
