Being a Rising Star Chef - when you have the talent, how influential can marketing be?

One of the most controversial topic for discussion; the importance of talent and marketing. Are consumers being steered to believing the talent of a chef through clever marketing strategy or is the chef's brilliance that shines through with the aid of marketing and promotion? How does one measure the skills of a Star Chef and how could one gain Star Chef's status? Such probable issues are being challenged in this session, it will truly be one of the most enlightening moment for all participants.

Overview

Part I

The moderator will introduce the speakers and a brief outline of each speakers' background. An introduction of the topic will be presented followed by the moderator's views and comments on the topic. The moderator will be given 10 minutes for his presentation. Every speaker will be given approximately 5 minutes. A total of 20 minutes has been allocated.

Part II

The moderator will recap on each speakers' opinions and comments and invite the panel of speakers to raise their doubts and opinions on the topic. The moderator will monitor the session by prompting speakers to talk about their ideas and intrigue speakers thoughts. The second half will last not more than 10 minutes. To round up the session, the moderator will invite the audience to pose questions to the panel speakers whereby the panel speakers will answer these questions directly.
