The leader of Wachau viniculture, Weingut Prager is run by Toni Bodenstein and his wife, Isle Prager. With a common goal to create wines of extraordinary harmony and ageability, the couple has recently launched a new trend all over the world with the release of their Prager Riesling Trockenbeerenauslesen. One of the most regonised winery in the Wachau region, known as the "jewel of the Wachau", Weingut Prager has an impressive and honorable tradition that is renowned for noble Riesling that carries an incredible finesse, delicacy and world-class distinction.

Amy Burch - Owner,
Howard Park, Australia

Adventurous and enterprising are two qualities that one would notice in Singapore born Amy Burch and proud owner of boutique winery, Howard Park. Sharing her husband's love for wines, the Burch embarked on a project in 1986 that would change their destiny forever - Howard Park was born. Under their common passion for good wines and meticulous care, Howard Park grew tremendously over the recent years. Considered as one of the top elite premium wineries in Western Australia, Amy Burch took charge of the winery's marketing, design and management activities.


Peter Gago - Winemaker & Oenologist,
Penfolds, Australia

Like Dr Christopher Rawson Penfolds, the founder of Penfolds, Peter Gago is a firm believer of medicinal value in wines. Similarly, Gago is in constant pursuit of higher learning like the late doctor. Having graduated as Dux of the Bachelor of Applied Science (Oneology) degree course, Gago went on to gain a Bachelor of Sciene (Education) from the University of Melbourne. With a flair for making superb pinot noir and sangiovese, Gago also launches his new book "Australian Wine - From the vine to the Glass".

Pierre Henry-Gagey - President,

"I do not believe that there is a better-run domaine or firm in Burgundy than that of Louis Jadot", quoted by Robert Parker Junior in The Wine Advocate showed the extreme quality of Maison Louis Jadot wines. And the person behind its successes is none other than Pierre-Henry Gagey.

Born in Beanue of France, Gagey has been exposed to the tradition and culture of the vines since young. The vice-president of the Comité Régional de Bourgogne de 1'INAO - the appellation system institute and an active member of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, Gagey's zest and knowledge in winemaking has been highly respected in the industry.

Specialising exclusively in the wines of the Rhône Valley, Paul Jaboulet Aîné is synonymous with quality and prestige. Managed by the Jaboulet family, the winery has its own set of strict specifications and standard. Nicholas Jaboulet manages the export market of his family business together with his cousin, Frédéric Jaboulet. Having graduated from the 1'I.D.R.A.C in Lyon and the NENE College in Northampton, Nicholas Jaboulet gained his adapbility and sharp business acumen while working in the advertising business.

Alvaro Palacios - Winemaker,
Alvaro Palacios, Spain

Alvaro Palacios is one of the pioneer in combining traditional wine making techniques and technology. After spending 2 years in the famed Château Petrus, Palacios set up his own winery in Priorat in 1989.

In 1993, Palacois produced one of the world's greatest red wine, L'Ermita - arguably the most individualistic Spanish red and most highly priced in the market. L'Ermita has an intense concentration and boundless depth with a complexity that is staggering.

Donald Patz - Winemaker,
Patz & Hall Wine Co. USA

Patz & Hall is the brainchild of 4 very different individuals, each with a unique and important character. Donald Patz met James Hall back in 1985 and struck up a friendship fired by their love for wines. Subsequently, they began their project of forming Patz & Hall together with Anne Mosses and Heather Patz. The results were tremendous, shaking the industry with their high quality wines. Highly recommended by The Wine Spectator for its Mt. Veeder-Carr Vineyard 1996, by The Wine Advocate for its Chardonnays and earning 5 out of 5 by James Laube of The Wine Spectator for its Napa Valley range. Donald Patz will be representing Patz & Hall Wine Co. in World Gourmet Summit.

With an inclination towards wines since young, Thierry de Tourniel still has the same enthusiasm now. De Tourniel joined the Rothschild brothers in the 1996 as the director of public relations in Europe and subsequently over looked the North America market which includes Mexico and Canada. Steering this celebrated winery into the new millennium, de Tourniel foresees the Château adopting a new edge to capture more adventurous wine drinkers in this region.
